Frank, you may appreciate this story more than others since you were in the MMT office at the point when Peter Chislet and I were going through The Village Voice to see who we were going to see that night(Friday). We came across the ad announcing British sensation and first appearance in the U.S. - Culture Club. We never heard of them and no one else in the office heard of them, but Pete and I were game. We headed to the Ritz(11th & 3rd); stood right in front of the stage on the right side where the lead singer spent most of HER time. We had no idea of this womans name who was wearing this funky 8 ball tent gown, but Pete and I were enthralled with the band and HER voice. It was not until Monday back in the office when Peter and I were reading the review of the Culture Club performance that we learned it was a man. The look on our faces included many different emotions, but all were of amazement. The bottom line was we loved that show and the band. youtu.be/HVzAH0FtNwg
