Franks Friday Fabulous Fitness Tip Couple of changes. Check our group X schedule for October as we are making some changes. 1. Thursday Group Aqua class will be ending. This summer season class is over. 2. Fridays Aqua Fit Class is morphing back to Body Sculpt, 730 AM 3. Saturdays Zumba Sculpt will be no longer offered. The group X class schedule is always posted in the gym and on our website. Community affairs department I recently gave two presentations on senior fitness at the Granada Hills Rotary and Northridge Hospital Auxiliary. We were trying to spread the word that fitness is a viable way of life for any age group. Here were the major points to consider. Make sure it is safe. Get your physicans approval first. Make sure it is fun. Choose activities you enjoy. Make sure it is consistent. You need at least 150 minutes of moderate activity a week. Make sure you get professional advice. Plan your program with a personal fitness trainer who has worked with seniors. Activities can be planned even if you have physical limitations. Make sure you get strength training in your workout too. This will be endurance and strength and reduce your risk of falling and getting injuried.
