****Fraud/Scam Alert**** There has been an increase in the number of phone scams recently. Currently person(s) are contacting folks claiming to be from the IRS, Microsoft, INS/ICE, and various Law Enforcement Agencies in the local area. No Government Agency whether Federal or Local will ever call you and demand payment via pre-paid debit or credit cards over the phone. Microsoft and Government Agencies do not contact people by phone, and instead will send registered mail to your postal address. Local Law Enforcement may contact you by phone or in person, but WILL NEVER ask for debit/credit card information or for a pre paid card. They will either take you into custody, or will advise you on how to make contact with the courts to settle the matter..
