Fraudulent Claim of Publishers Clearing House Prize Paris, Tenn. - A 69-year-old Paris man reported fraudulent claims to Paris Police on Thursday. The victim was contacted by a man named David from Publishers Clearing House claiming that he had won $885,000 and a new Chevy truck. The alleged Clearing House representative told the victim that he needed to send $500 to process the winnings. The victim sent $300 to Washington, D.C. He was then informed that he would be required to pay taxes on his winnings, so he sent $1,700. The victim then sent $50 to Jamaica and $1,554 to D.C. The victim has not received the money or truck that was promised at the time of the report.
