Fraudulent Green Cards and Social Security Cards Seized After Traffic Stop On 10/13/2013 at 12:50 AM officers stopped a 2000 Pontiac with Illinois registration for a following too close violation on State Route 82 near Larchmont Avenue. After speaking with the driver, a 27 year old male from Mexico, officers were only provided with a Mexican Passport for identification. Criminal indicators were observed and a subsequent field investigation discovered the male was not legally in the United States and had entered into the country approximately ten years ago. He was issued a citation for driving without a license and following too close. His vehicle was impounded and an inventory resulted in officers locating fraudulent green cards and social security cards the male had been using. He was transported to the Trumbull County Jail at a later time on a detainer from the Department of Homeland Security.
