Fred and Ethel go to the County Fair and every year Fred points to the airplane there and goes Ethel, I really want to ride that plane! Every year Ethel goes £20 Fred, is a lot of money, maybe next year. and Fred nods despondently. One year, They go through this again, when instead of nodding, Fred says Ethel, Im 76 this year, I may not have a next year in me! Ethel says I know Fred but, £20 is £20! The pilot overhearing this, comes up and introduces himself. hey folks, Im the pilot of that there plane, and I make you a deal. I take you up, and if you dont make a sound, it wont cost you a penny! After thinking about it, Ethel agrees and says to Fred but remember, £20 is £20. dont make a sound no Ethel said Fred dutifully. The pilots takes them up. he does all kinds of tricks. not a peep. does a loop the loop and still, not a sound. Resigning himself to the lost money, he starts to take them down and says you know, I really thought you would make a sound. well done Fred then replies and says well, I was going to when Ethel fell out, but £20, is £20!
