Fredia Garrison Watkins received her specially reproduced - TopicsExpress

Fredia Garrison Watkins received her specially reproduced Letterman jacket 38 years after lettering in Tennis at Pickens High School in 1976. For Frieda to play that year was a miracle since she had health problems her entire life. The Principal at the time, Lawton Baggs, made her get a doctors release in order to try out. Mr. Baggs played an integral part in getting her the jacket, and presented it to her today along with PHS Athletic Director Kyle Rasco. For an added surprise, Mr. Rasco gave Mr. Baggs his own letterman jacket. Fredias health problems continued throughout her life and was on hospice care before receiving heart surgery in Cleveland, Ohio in September 2011. Always just keep the hope is Fredias last statement on the video.
