Waiting. Love,” the film follows college freshman Si-ying, who gets a part-time job at “Café. Waiting. Love” coffee shop. She befriends Abusi, a tomboyish barista who can make any coffee the customers request, the beautiful and mysterious café owner, and Zeyu, the boy who always sits in the same spot in the café who seems to be very popular with girls and whom Si-ying develops an instant crush for… Q & A with Dr. Robert Chi (紀一新教授) Assistant Professor, Asian Languages and Cultures, UCLA Robert Chi studied at Yale University (BA) and Harvard University (MA, PhD), and he has taught at Tunghai University (Taiwan), Columbia University, and Stony Brook University. His teaching and research focus on Chinese cinema in all senses of that term. He has taught, researched, and published on a range of topics across China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan including public memory, visual culture, film exhibition, film music, documentary, and martial arts films.
