Free Film Screening: GMO OMG FREE SHOWING OF GMO OMG Tuesday, December 10, 2013 Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Screening at 7:00 p.m. Harkins Valley Art Theater 509 S.Mill Ave Tempe, AZ 85281 This film seeks to shed light on how GMOs (genetically modified organisms) affect children, the health of the planet, and freedom of choice. Filmmaker Jeremy Seifert takes a journey from his family’s table to Haiti, Paris, Norway, and the lobby of agra-giant Monsanto to gain insight into a question that is of growing concern to citizens the world over: whats on your plate? Before the screening, we will show Emmanuel Vaughan Lees short film Yukon Kings, which explores the impact of disappearing salmon on native communities in the remote Alaskan Yukon Delta. This one-night showing is free, but we encourage donations in support of the United Food Bank. Consider donating nonperishable items or make a tax deductible contribution.
