Free Support Services Offered at the disAbility Resource Center Are you a person with a disability or a family member of someone with a disability and have a legal problem you want to discuss with an attorney or advocate? Are you applying for Medicaid but find the requirements and forms confusing? The disAbility Resource Center can help through two monthly services it offers. Thirty-minute consultations with an advocate are available from the disAbility Law Center of Virginia the first Tuesday of each month from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The dLCV provides legal representation and advocacy to protect the rights of persons with disabilities; prevent abuse, neglect and discrimination; and promote independence, choice, and self-determination by person with disabilities. A representative of the Department of Social Services is available monthly on the second Monday of the month from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to help individuals apply for Medicaid.
