Free Worldwide Women Empowered Seminars on January 10, 2015! On November 2, 2014, Carlesha Freeland-Gaither, a nurses assistant in Philadelphia, was violently abducted at 9:40pm. The entire incident was captured by surveillance cameras, and although the exposure of the footage helped authorities catch the perpetrator, it also sparked widespread concern among women everywhere. In response to this incident, the Gracie Academy will also be offering free Women Empowered Self-defense Seminars on January 10, 2015, at their headquarters in Torrance, California, as well as 25 other certified training centers around the world. This includes Linxx Academy in Virginia Beach, VA and Norfolk Karate in Norfolk, VA. The seminars are specifically designed for first-time self-defense students, so no experience is necessary, but space is limited, so you must save your spot in advance.
