Free monitor isolation pads in NYC I have two extra sets of monitor isolation pads that Id like to find good homes for. Im not going to sell/mail them, you need to come pick them up from my place in Sunnyside, Queens, not far from the 7 train. I work from home and am usually here. One set are Auralex Mopad XL, their latest version, brand new in the box (auralex/sound_isolation_mopad/sound_isolation_mopad.asp) The others are the older version, Auralex Speaker Dudes,gently used (auralex/sound_isolation_speakerdudes/speakerdudes.asp) The Speaker Dudes are always angled up or down (depending on how you place them) 4 degrees but are thicker. The Mopads can be flat or angled. HMU and let me know which you want. Why do I have extras? I bought the Speaker Dudes a few couple ago. Auralex advertised that Turning the wedge face down allows the speaker to be set flat 0°. I recently reconfigured my rig, wanted my monitors at 0°, and, as it turns out, this is impossible because geometry. I called Auralex up, sent my receipt, and they generously sent me two pairs of MoPad XLs as replacements because they since stopped producing Speaker Dudes and replaced them with the MoPad line. I was very impressed by how Auralex handled it and by their generosity. Living in a small NYC apartment I dont have room to store these and will probably never use them so rather than sell them I thought Id pass on the good mojo to some fellow students of Dave Pensado.
