Free speech is something that is worth protecting. It is one of those God-given human rights, which also happens to be enumerated in our Constitution. I honestly dont know what God wants us to believe and wants us to do. Many people believe that every word written in the Christian Bible is Gods word and Gods truth. Many people also believe that every word written in the Koran is Gods word and Gods truth. I dont know, but I believe in religious freedom. Some of the things, which I have heard are written in the Koran, sound pretty harsh, but I dont want government monitoring what is preached in Mosques, and I dont want them monitoring anything that is preached in Christian churches, Jewish Synagogues, Hindu Temples, or any other place. I dont want words and speech monitored, period, unless there is solid evidence that someone has done harm, or is contemplating doing harm to somebody else. In this case, in Houston, it sure sounds like the mayor and city council do not want anyone criticizing them or their policies or laws. It sure sounds like the mayor of Houston wants to punish those who criticize her.
