Free will of Whosoever and Elected by the Sovereignty of God The - TopicsExpress

Free will of Whosoever and Elected by the Sovereignty of God The two doctrines of free will of whosoever and being one of God’s elect, by His sovereign choice seem to contradict or be in conflict if one focuses upon one, without equal focus on the other, by faith. I believe both truths run throughout Scripture and must be views with equal balance; as well as accepted as equally true until we understand more clearly their unity of truth in heaven. This for me resolves the age old debate of those who are strong components of one truth over the other. I believe in a whosoever salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, as one’s Saviour, Sovereign God, and Supreme LORD, according to the absolute authority of the Scriptures: John 3:15-16 That whosoever believeth in him (Jesus Christ as one’s Saviour, Sovereign God, and Supreme LORD) should not perish (To perish is to be separated from God in this life, as well as for all of eternity in hell in the next.), but have eternal life (Eternal life is not only a future reality, but a present reality of relationship with God the Father and the Son the LORD Jesus Christ; see John 17:1-3.). (16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten (Jesus was one of a kind in the sense He was and is: sent by God the Father from heaven, sinless, the Saviour, the sacrifice for sin, sovereign incarnate God, second to none as LORD, soon coming again King of kings, and so much more.) Son (At the cross Jesus Christ was the acceptable sacrifice for the sins of the world, through His death and shed blood. Although, Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world, only whosoever believes spiritually, scripturally, supernaturally, and eternally benefits from His sacrificial death.), that whosoever (Once Again salvation is a whosoever will receive such, by faith, according to the Scripture. Some like to emphasize that only the Elect are the whosoever rather I do not see the word whosoever being qualified by being only the Elect, but simply meaning that whosoever is whosoever.) believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (Do you have eternal life?) I believe that I am one of God’s Elect by the sovereign choice of God, according to His foreknowledge; whereby, He is the first cause of my salvation received, I being the effect, by grace, through faith, and progression of salvation is consistently experienced thereon after, by His grace, through His Spirit and not by my good works or law keeping, but by faith, which in its self is because of God being the first cause of such: 1Peter 1:2 Elect (selected, chosen, favorite ones) according to the foreknowledge (knowledge of a thing before it happens) of God the Father (God is eternal; I perceive God as being eternal is in a sense not making decisions in time and space as we are. He has eternally predetermined everything that will be dictated or allowed by Him in time and space. Therefore, God knows who will or will not be of the Elect, which has been predetermined in His sovereign foreknowledge, even before the foundation of the world was laid we who are of the Elect have been chosen in the LORD Jesus Christ; see Ephesians 1:4.), through sanctification of the Spirit (As the Elect, we are spiritually, scripturally, and supernaturally set apart unto God not by our own self-effort or self-righteousness, but by the Spirit of God, Who indwells every believer the moment they are saved.), unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ (It is through the application of the shed blood of the LORD Jesus Christ that as a sinner we are saved, sanctified, and someday be completely glorified into the very spiritual likeness of the LORD Jesus Christ.): Grace (Grace is God’s unmerited and undeserved favor, goodness, blessings, which is received not by self-effort or self-righteousness, but by submission unto God, by faith. We are of the Elect by God’s grace and by God’s grace alone. We who are of God’s Elect by grace do well to consistently and completely realize it is by God’s grace we are saved and not by any type of work whatsoever, for we have not first chosen Him, but He us; see John 15:16. Such grace is extended to all or whosoever, but only whomever that appropriates grace, by faith, becomes a whosoever, who believes. Even the faith of whosoever is a work of God’s grace received and not of works of any kind or it would not be of grace.), unto you, and peace (We who are of the Elect have supernatural peace that we have eternal life, the forgiveness of sin and newness of life in and through Jesus Christ as our Saviour, Sovereign God, Supreme LORD, and soon coming King of kings.), be multiplied. Once again, the two doctrines of free will of whosoever and being one of God’s elect, by His sovereign choice seem to contradict or be in conflict if one focuses upon one, without equal focus on the other, by faith. I believe both truths run throughout Scripture and must be views with equal balance; as well as accepted as equally true until we understand more clearly their unity of truth in heaven. This for me resolves the age old debate of those who are strong components of one truth over the other. Please pray for the H.O.P.E.
