Get Connected Tennessee House Votes to Delay Common Core After months of fighting, activists scored a huge victory against Common Core in Tennessee. This week, the Tennessee State House voted to delay Common Core testing for two years. The bill, which was sponsored by Representative Timothy Hill, passed by an incredible majority: 82-11. Delaying Common Core is a huge victory for education freedom. These federal top-down standards were developed by special interests. FreePAC Update on IRS Scandal Progressives want you to forget about the IRS targeting scandal. But Conservatives are smarter than that. According to a new report from the House Oversight and Government Committee, Lois Lerner, former director of the IRS’s Tax Exempt and Government Entities Division, directed her employees to scrutinize tea party groups. She called tea party and Conservative groups “very dangerous” and lied to committee staff. We knew the IRS illegally targeted conservative groups. Now we have more proof. Unfortunately, Lois Lerner isn’t talking. But the American people deserve answers. And it’s your congressional representatives’ job to act. Activists like you are keeping up the fight. You are getting to the truth. But we need more answers from Lerner. Send a message to Speaker of the House John Boehner and demand Lois Lerner be held in contempt.
