Freelance Education Development with Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity BongThom-ID 41879 Description As part of an ongoing grant, the Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity (ACCB) is looking for qualified candidates to fill a freelance position to develop and complete and detailed Environmental Education Teacher Training Manual before December 31st 2014. Workspace will be provided at our Siem Reap office; occasional travel to our headquarters at Kbal Spean may be required. Background The ACCB, located at the historical site of Kbal Spean in Phnom Kulen National Park (PKNP) is the first Nature Conservation Centre in Cambodia. Our aim is to contribute to the conservation of Cambodia’s unique biodiversity. We serve as a rescue and breeding facility for threatened and endangered species, and conduct a broad range of environmental education programmes for local communities, schools, and foreign visitors. Positions Freelance Education Development APPLY NOW Category: Resources & Environment Location: Siem Reap Schedule: Full-time Duties + Requirements Freelance Education Development Duties Refine and improve existing lesson plans, presentations, and activities, update all information to match or surpass state curriculum, and prepare all lesson plans and teaching materials in both English and Khmer. Lead the development of new teaching resources and materials for distribution to schools and the SR PTTC. Requirements Minimum bachelor’s degree in education or related field: wildlife conservation, biology, forestry, natural resource management or science education. Highly preferred: master’s degree in education. Highly computer literate, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required and Photoshop preferred. Highly experienced in lesson-planning and preparation of teaching materials and resources. Ability to work independently and manage deadlines. Excellent command of English and Khmer, both spoken and written.
