Really tiring of this story, I think Gomis is especially hesitating because he knows that he is not as guaranteed to succeed at Newcastle as he would at Marseille. I do not see him being first choice before Papis Cisse, if he stays. Any period of poor performance, which often happens (with Gomis), Newcastle will seek the services of a new striker. The best solution would be for Bafé to come back to ASSE (St.Etienne) where he would play every game with us as we are looking for a striker Reply- yes you’re funny you … pay the same salary as he gets at Lyon?!! By trying to gain more money OL is at risk of losing everything, but on the other hand nothing ventured nothing gained. The future will prove either Aulas or his critics right but all that remains of this case will be the sordid poor communication plan of OL which has diminished the club standing COME TO MARSEILLE, you will enjoy yourself, you are a great payer! Interesting to see that Newcastle aren’t getting any stick from the French public, with the French owner seen as a bit of an idiot it’s him who has attracted the most attention on their home front. Still too many variables for my liking, dealing with an erratic opposition club & owner, plus a player who doesn’t exactly appear to be breaking his neck to come to Newcastle…and that is all before we get to a certain Joe Kinnear and Mike Ashley. As always, we live in hope.
