French President Francois Hollande said on Saturday the EU must coordinate with China to resolve trade disputes that could harm European exports to China. Hollande said the EU needs “to develop our economies but also to define rules, principles and to open new areas of cooperation… We need to resolve our trade problems with China through discussion, without advantages being given to one country over another." The dispute began with the EU decision to impose duties on Chinese solar panels which caused China to respond with imposing an anti-dumping on European wine sales, which affected the sales of French wine in China and caused Hollande to warn that the dispute could reach automobiles sales. "I want the Chinese to buy more French products," said Hollande.
