A: Whether you are driving the best European, Japanese, Korean or American car – at one point in time, it is bound to break down. Having an extended warranty protects the investment you made in your vehicle. When something goes wrong in one of its 30,000 or so parts you simply bring it to the authorized Service Center and AWS Extended Warranty pays for all the parts and labor costs. 2. Q: When does the Extended Warranty Program take effect? A: AWS Extended Warranty takes full effect when the 3 years/ 100,000 kms. (Whichever comes first) provided by your manufacturer, expires. 3. Q: How does AWS pay claims? A: Claims may be paid directly to the repairing dealership. Claims are approved within three hours, while Claims payments are processed and released within 14 days. 4. Q: Why do distributors / dealers have to buy the Extended Warranty now, when the car is still brand new and is covered by the Manufacturer’s Warranty? A: Investing now during the early part of the vehicle’s life means having lower premium costs. When you include an Extended Warranty Program from Day 1 (it leaves the showroom) you are assured that there will be no interruption in your coverage. Aside from this, AWS can offer a greater coverage at great prices simply because we do not enroll vehicles with pre-existing conditions. Low risk for us will mean low premium rates for you. 5. Q: Will the cost of Mandatory Extended Warranty impact the vehicle’s SRP? A: SRP may rise but there is a parallel rise in the benefits too. Distributors or dealers absorb the cost by appropriating EW as part of the marketing expense. Instead of giving out freebies (car mat, jacket, picnic tables, tint...etc) why not give a practical, sensible and long-term gift of PROTECTION through the “Extended Warranty Program”. This protects your customers from expensive parts and repairs in 4th and 5th year. 6. Q: How much is an Extended Warranty? A: The cost of an Extended Warranty (called a “Premium”) depends on the type of vehicle, engine displacement, parts prices and other important factors. AWS bases its quotation on the data your company provides in the questionnaire. The questionnaire may be obtained from your AWS Warranty Specialist. 7. Q: How safe is our data with Asia Warranty? Will this not put us at risk? A: We can furnish you a Non-disclosure Agreement. By sharing with us correct data, we can then return to you a more responsive and accurate quotation that matches your company’s requirement. This data also helps us project how much we will pay YOU for all future claims / repairs including parts and labor fees. 8. Q: Is Extended Warranty Program too complicated with a lot of paper work? A: Claiming is patterned after your existing processes. For advanced dealerships, we also have On-Line Claim Submissions. 9. Q: Will approval of claims take long? As we normally experience 30-days waiting time. A: AWS gives you a decision within three hours, maximum of twenty-four hours. Claim Payments are released two weeks after you submit all the three documents: Claims Approval Form, Sales Invoice and Repair Order. (Note: *these are the same documents you submit when making an Under-Warranty Claim). 10. Q: Will an Extended Warranty Program be too challenging for provincial dealers to handle because of long distance coordination?
