A couple of months later, he came back with another catchy tune titled Gbese. This came after tracks like Ihortu and others. Hyness was born Ernest Ben Cherry(Ejeh) in Kano Nigeria. Read on and enjoy the convo! Naijareplay ArtBlaze : Hey!! Hyness, You’re welcome to our Naijareplay ArtBlaze interview Please introduce yourself to our dear readers/your fans Hyness : Im Ernest Ben aka Hyness. Im from Benue State, Nigeria Ok. So Why the name ‘Hyness’? How did it come about? WHY?,,,Hyness is a title for royalties empowered to lead others.I chose to be called Hyness because am a born leader and not a spectator Thats quite interesting. We have been following your career for quite a while now, and we think your music is a bit different from what others do, Isn’t it? So what’s your style of music? Yes, youre right! I do basically 3 styles of music(rock, hiphop & highlife), but the genre of music Im into currently is called Afro hiphop. Why did you decide to do it? Aside the passion I have for music, I feel more confortable doing Afro hiphop because youve got to know your onions in terms of lyrics, energy and charisma Do you have any albums yet? I dont have any album in the market for now but an earnest plan is on course already Okay, your latest single ‘Gbese’ is still rocking the airwaves in Nigeria currently, do you have any plans in the near future? Gbese became a hit through the help of God, bloggers and my fans. My plan for the near future is to take over the world with my style of music and to be a living legend worthy of emulation. Are you signed to any label yet? Well, for now I am not officially signed on to any record label but hoping for a mouth watering contract soon by Gods grace Where do you hope to be in say, 5 years time? The sky has been a starting point for me, there is no limit to what I feel I can achieve 5 years from now. The law of gravity cannot be against me because I see myself at the top, as the next big fish (laughs)... I personally like the song you did titled ‘2013’. You released it on the first of this year(2013), and I found it really inspiring. So what inspires you to do the kind of music you do? God is the author of every inspiration. The song (2013)was inspired by Prayers and Vision composed to put smiles on peoples face as a gift for a new year.Mac Roc(the producer) and Victor Kato(my brother and friend)encouraged me to drop the song as a gift to fans, friends and wellwishers Who/What are your: Role Models? My number one role model happens to be my parents, they were both choir directors. Aside them, my mentor Yanny, Enya and 2face Idibia are awesome You seem to have come from a musical family! Yea, yea. Na God! Your best moment so far? The best moment of my life was when performing as an undergraduate at Kogi state university during a matriculation ceremony. It was like a dream when the crowd cheered and rushed to me on stage and started throwing me up. Honestly I felt like a living Micheal Jackson meanwhile I used to watch same thing on TV. I always thought its a scam until my first experience! It was truly awesome. Your worst moment so far? Pathological State of Mind. My first demo in 2007 was a screech in the heart. It was wack and embarrasing. I became a laughing stock on stage because the audience adviced me publicly to go for a gardner as a career instead of music. Hussssssh!! You can imagine! Final words for your fans/other upcoming artistes: Look before you leap. The future is colourful and I know you will get there. Even if you know your onion, dont forget that onions is not the only ingredient for making soup. To my fans, thanks very much and I love you all. My shouts out to Naijareplay, Hypazmedia, Victor Kato and EazyDon for their massive support. Im grateful It’s been nice hanging out with you, we hope to see you again sometime soon Thank You CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD ALL HYNESS SINGLES SO FAR Connect with Hyness: Visit hynessonline twitter/eezyness; facebook/hynessonline Follow @naijareplay dlvr.it/4D26xR Click Like
