Fresher’s meet held at Daporijo College :The first ever college fresher meet was organized at college hall of Daporijo Govt. College for the new comers. During the fresher meet all the newcomers of college along with seniors and teaching staff attended the fresher meet.The meet comprised of various interesting program including cultural programme beside the Mr.Fresher and Miss Fresher contest.Speaking on the occasion Principal of the college BM Singh encouraged student to come forward and become good citizen of the society and render their selfless service for the welfare of the society.He also asked the student to work hard and expose their hidden talent. Fresher meet can promote brother-hood among the student. Through such programme one can come closer to each other and understand each other.However, he gave emphasis on discipline as most important part of student that, they should keep in mind. Takar Dupit, outgoing General Secretary of the college, informed about the work carried out during his tenure for the welfare of the college. He also spoke about certain grievances he had face during the implementation of the work. Later during the end of programme Mr. Fresher was given to Hirak Kurdu of BA first year student and Miss Fresher was given to Yanu Hane of BA first.
