Fri. 19/7/2013 Endure Affliction Jam. 1:1-4, 12 The bitter truth that most people do not want to hear is that life is not a bed of roses. There are troubles and difficulties in the world, there are trials and temptations to be experienced both by believers and unbelievers. It must be noted that suffering is part of Christian living, but not suffering as an offender. Therefore, when trials or temptations come the way of a Christian, it must not be seen as if something strange has happened, but the believers must count it all joy and trust in God for deliverance and victory. Know that without trial there cannot be triumph and without test, no testimony. Those Christians who endure affliction, who do not deny Christ in the face of problem, will be victorious on earth and also receive the crown of life in heaven. Point of Emphasis: Blessed is the man who endures temptation. Prayer Point: Lord, help me to always stand strong in You in the face of life challenges.
