Fri. 7/6/2013 Don’t Be Cruel To Your Children Eph. 6:4 In some countries of the world, child discipline is prohibited, but the Bible encourages and command it. There are some parents that pamper children to the extent that such children ended up not being useful to themselves not to talk of the parents. The Bible says “He who spares his rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him promptly” (Prov. 13: 24). However, such discipline must be with the intention to correct the child for the wrong thing he or she has done and not to injure or hurt him or her. Children must be corrected and disciplined in love. Many children are not close to their fathers today as a result of being cruel or harsh to them. This is not good enough. Let us create an atmosphere of love in our homes. Point of Emphasis: Correct your children in love and out of love. Prayer Point: Lord, help me not to be a terror to my children but a loving father.
