Fri, Jan 9, 2015 - The Deadlift (Bent-Knee) with Resistance Bands If you have avoided those colored rubber bands that you see in your training facility or gym...its time to revisit it and understand the why and how to use them. Resistance bands have a unique ability to provide resistance throughout the entire movement. For example, during the lifting phase (lifting bar off the ground) of the deadlift, gravity works to provide resistance, along with weight. As the weight is lifted off the floor, where the movement gets easier is when the weight is the highest (standing position). Including bands, like the ones I showed you in this video provides variable resistance. The greater the stretch of the band, the greater the load.
