Friday 03.10.14 FIRE FIGHTING TRAINING FOR MBPG GUARDS he Milne Bay Administration is working in partnership the PNG Fire Service to keep safe its facilities and in a two-day basic fire-fighting training, security guards of the administration were taken through handing of fire fighting equipment and more. MBPG Deputy Administrator Sharon Mua who presented the guards their certificates this afternoon says theyre the people always at the scene and in safeguarding the governments facilities, they were given this training. Its a first for many of them who were appreciative of the opportunity. It also comes at a time when the provincial government plans to officially open two new buildings reaching construction completion this month. One of them was burnt down in an electrical fire in 2008 and is being reconstructed. The partnership with state agencies such as the Fire Service is the way forward and Mua assured continued support of their functions in Milne Bay Province.
