Friday 13th November, 1914 Turned out 7am. Parade for names. Breakfast. About 6 to each cup and knife. Grub good though. 9:15 Paraded and were told off in 13s to an instructor. Sandy in the next one to Charles, Jimmy and I. Wet and boisterous. Instruction, drill and etc. in the huts. Dinner at 11:30. Went to range at 1pm. Fired 10 rounds lying, 5 at 200 for grouping, and 5 for bulls. Scored 20 (8”group) and 13.
