Friday 2:30 pm: We are overwhelmed by your kindness, generosity and prayers for Sidney . We have met with the trauma team and while she is very, very critical, they say its promising. She is in a coma and not expected to awaken anytime soon but she could awaken in 5 minutes. She has Diffused Axonal Injury. DAI. Small brain bleeds but they are stable and her vitals are good. She will have a long time at a LTAC long term acute care center once she gets out of here. She will then go to a rehab facility to relearn life. But then again she could wake up in 5 minutes and be ok. Until she wakes up we will not know her prognosis. Wesley has an amazing facility and she is receiving the best care possible. Im sorry that we cannot respond to each of you and let you know how you are appreciated. Audrey is making a Facebook page called Stay Strong Sidney. We will update there with any news. Thank you for your continued prayers. She needs them more than ever. Friday 2:00 am: Thank you to each and everyone of you for lifting Sidney up in prayer. We have read every message and have so appreciated your texts, voicemails and all of your love and support. We are able to be with her and are so thankful Micah and Audrey are with us. Please continue to pray for healing to our Almighty God that he will restore Sidney to us. Thursday 5:00 pm: We are asking for your prayers. Sidney Doane was in a terrible one car accident by ElDorado at about 1pm this afternoon. She was on her way to Baylor to visit Audrey and friends. Micah was not with her. We are at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She is very critical. She has brain trauma. No spinal injuries or other internal injuries. Audrey is currently flying in. God has sent a wonderful team of doctors to take care of her. Please include her, the medical team and our family in your prayers -Heidi Doane
