Friday 21st June – Arsenal daily transfer rumours and news round up. Spanish Under-21 stars are the hottest property in Europe right now and the latest youngster linked with a move to the Premier League after Isco and Thiago Alcantara is Asier Illarramendi. The Daily Star reports that Arsenal lead the race to sign the Real Sociedad midfielder and the 23-year old could be available for £10million. Illarramendi signed a new 6-year deal with Sociedad last November and is not expected to leave soon but the lure of Champions League football with Arsenal could help the Gunners. Arsenal’s search for defensive reinforcements has taken them to Dinamo Zagreb and the Sun reports that the Gunners are monitoring 17- year old Tin Jedvaj. The youngster has been rated very highly and has earned call-up to train with the Croatian national team. Roma failed with a £5million bid for the defender recently and Arsene Wenger is keen to swoop in and make an offer. The Daily Mail reports that Sunderland are considering a move for Arsenal’s out-of-favour stopper Vito Mannone. Liverpool are close to agreeing a £8million move for Simon Mignolet and Sunderland are targeting Mannone to take over from the Belgian. Mannone has found himself 3rd choice at Arsenal and is expected to be sold this summer after managing just 15 appearances over the last 7 years at the Emirates.
