Friday, 23rd January. HOW TO BE STABLE IN LIFE “And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the Lord is his treasure”. (Isaiah 33:6 KJV) There is absolutely nothing I hate like a life of ups and downs. Up till date and down tomorrow, that kind of existence is really appalling to me. Growing up, I saw so very many people whose lives were never stable, people who at a point had it all together but eventually ended up as paupers, just like that. This really bothered me. I came to the point in those years where I believed that no one could stay up forever. I almost completely convinced myself that everyone up there would crash one day like the many others I have encountered in my little life time. But in the course of time, I came across scriptures like our text today and it reshaped my perception. I later realized that ups and downs were not Gods will but a product of mans foolishness and rascality of divers kinds. Please note this; never venture into anything you have no knowledge or wisdom about. Even in the matter of marriage, Jesus was asked if a man could put away his wife for every reason, and His response was very profound. He said have you not read...? This means that there are certain foolish questions you would never ask if you read about marriage and acquire some information about it. Dont be so full of love and become empty in your mind. Life cannot be short of being fulfilled when you are the kind of person who works with knowledge and not assumption. Trust me your business, marriage, family, ministry or whatever else you do will lack real stability to it when the wisdom for it is lacking. Wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of all times. Nugget: Life cannot be short of being fulfilled when you are the kind of person who works with knowledge and not assumption. Assignment i. Make it a point of duty to acquire one new piece of information daily about your work, business or carrier from today. ii. Investigate every fall or instability you have experienced in the last five years and see what you probably didnt know that may have caused it. Prayer -Lord I receive a very voracious appetite for knowledge today on Jesus Name. -I receive the spirit of wisdom into my life in Jesus Name.
