In cooperation with Sheldrake Point Winery, the Cayuga Lake Watershed Network and Finger Lakes Institute, the Floating Classroom is offering FREE training cruises aboard the MV Haendel! The next cruise will take place on: Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, 2:00pm-5:00pm Sheldrake Point Winery Dock 7448 County Rd. 153, Ovid, NY Each 3-hour program will include: -A FREE 3 hour cruise aboard the MV Haendel on Cayuga Lake! -An open discussion of Hydrilla and other invasive species threatening the Finger Lakes. -Hands-on practice in identifying common lake plants, as well as Hydrilla and other invasive species. -An invitation to join a network of volunteers generating valuable data with support by the Cayuga Lake Watershed Network and the Finger Lakes Institute.
