Friday December 26 Heres the way we work at the Halekulani House Without a Key: we dont really have a plan about the songs that we will do. We dont have a song list that we stick to throughout the evening. We just kinda feel it, allowing the mood of the crowd, the light in the sky, the sweetness of the air to guide us as to what to sing/dance next. So, when Hiram Olsen saw me walk on stage tonight with a fresh, scarlet-red carnation lei that I wore for the Christmas holiday, he was immediately inspired to sing Pua Carnation. Thats how we roll!
