Friday, January 16: Today I had the privilege of speaking at the IFR Women’s luncheon. I was honored to be able to tell our story and all that God has done to this amazing group of people. My precious friend, Jennifer Miller went with me and we were blessed by the kindness and encouragement we received. We met some incredible people. I continue to stand in awe of the multitude of people who have prayed for us and encouraged us. As I told of the day of Dane’s accident,(I have not previously spoken about it) I was overwhelmed with the hard emotion of that day. At the sheer gut wrenching emotion of what happened and how God moved, I found myself moved again to tears. But today, they were tears of joy, not sorrow for the mercy of the Father and the healing of my son. One of the things that I shared today was that each of us, all of us, have our struggles, our hurts, our heartaches. I met some women who shared those with me today. But even in that – that there is purpose in our pain, there is power in the Word, and there is healing in the making. He will not disappoint but your greatest blessing may come in the way you never imagined. “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revalation 21:4 How thankful I am for the opportunity to tell of our BIG God!
