Friday, March 8, 2013 TGIF! TGIF! Its been a looong week! Ive been one day ahead of schedule all week. Dont you hate that! When you think its Thursday, and its only Wednesday. Or youre excited its finally Friday, when really its only Thursday.Major disappointment factor! Well, its finally the end of the week, PTL (Praise The Lord)! Waking u with the realization that it ACTUALLY Friday, put me in a good mood for my morning workout! Rosemary started me out with bicep curls. I used the resistance band on the left, and the 3 lb weight on te right. I originally started with the resistance band on both the right and left sides, but my right wrist was bending backwards, making the motion of pulling up kinda hurt. So, Rosemary gave me the lighter 3 lb weight with no resiatance so as not to injur my wrist. I did 3 sets of 25 biceps curls on my left arm, and 1 set of 25 with my right arm using the resistance band, and 2 sets where I just went until I got tired with the 3 lb weight. I did a bunch of leg lifts next. First, I did a set of 10 on each leg, the I did alternating lifts. When Rosemary noticed that a lot of the energy was going to my arms and tightening/squeezing them up, she had me add my arms into my leg lift routine. Every time I lifted my left foot up, my right arm would raise up straight out in front of me. And my right foot and left arm went up at the same time. While Rosemary went to the bathroom, she handed me the resistance band in my left hand and the 3 lb weight in my right, and had me doing alternating bicep curls until she got back. Then, we did my favorite (not), TRX pull-ups. 2 setes of 10...Rosemary let me get off EASY today...no complaints here! After, we did 100 crunches. The taco-style ones, where I tilt my chair all the way back and kiack-up my legs so that Rosemary can help lift them higher. I did 2 sets of 50 crunches. Next, I did a fat set of sit-ups/back hyper extensions. Im really pleased with how these keep getting more controlled and faster. I can really feel my abs working as a bend/lean my upper body forwards. And pulling myself back definitely feels simpler...the correct muscles in my back know when and how to work. We wrapped up our session with some more leg lifts. As I gave a final ounce of energy into leg lifts, Rosemary got excited about the NEW exercises were gonna try on Monday.....Mondays blog should be interesting! ;)
