Friday Morning Prayer: Heavenly Father, I am so thankful today for those individuals who pick themselves up from great losses and make a contribution to your Church and to life. Specifically, I am thinking today about all of the widows who live on the average, eight years beyond their husbands, and rather than become reclusive and withdrawn, they find a way to make their lives productive. So much of the work of the Church where I pastor is done by those who have chosen to continue making an impact in life. Thank you, Lord, that when death breaks relationships, it does not have to break a persons spirit and if they have to go without a companion, they are never alone because you are with them always and will never leave them nor forsake them. And, thank you, Lord, that you have a Church where people who have lost loved ones can continue to love and be loved and do things that make a difference. In Jesus Name, AMEN.
