Friday Night, I had an interesting night. Right after my Chinese class, I tried to meet up with a couple of friends and on my way to see them my scooter broke down. I contacted my friends and they were able to find a scooter shop which was only a couple blocks from where my scooter broke down. My friends were able to translate for me to the shop owner about the condition of my scooter. So, the problem is that I can start my scooter and I can rev it up but it wouldnt accelerate forward. It turns out that a belt broke. Also, with the help of my friends they were able to get the shop owner to loan me a rental scooter for free. I couldnt help but think that this could be a blessing in disguise meaning that the belt could have broken out in the countryside in the middle of nowhere and my friends couldnt take me home because they already have two people on one scooter already. But also, Im out of $2,000NT to fix my scooter, which isnt too bad compared to fixing a timing belt in America which cost over $1,000US Finally, I was able to see some Fireflies Friday Night, but sadly there werent too many because of the weather and heavy overcast, but it was nice hanging out with some friends.
