The Friday night open mike at the American Legion dining hall on 99th Avenue just North of Peoria, starts at 4:30 p.m. and plays until around 8 p.m. or so, hosted by Gene Burkhart with Jackie Thomas as co-host. It’s an open mike from 4:30 to 6 p.m. when we present our featured performer for that night, a thirty minute show from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. From 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. we continue with the open mike format. The American Legion has a good fish fry or steak dinners every Friday starting at 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. Lots of good music, good food and good friends. Hope to see you there. Gene and Jackie
