Friday Night Recap - The Ridge Meadows Flames battled back to earn a point with a third period goal versus Aldergrove tonight, but the Kodiaks scored in overtime to take home a 4-3 road victory. The win moves Aldergrove three points clear of second place Abbotsford in the Brittain Conference race as the Kodiaks rebound from a tough home loss on Wednesday night. The single point lifts the Flames into sole possession of fourth place with a big game coming up against the fifth placed Panthers tomorrow night in Port Moody. The Abbotsford Pilots took the lead early in the second period and never relinquished it on their way to handing the Delta Ice Hawks their first loss of the season 4-3 tonight at MSA Arena. The Pilots improved to (4-3-1) with the impressive victory and appear ready to make their push up the Harold Brittain standings. The loss was just the first of the season for Delta, but in the hyper-competitive Tom Shaw Conference it opens the door for both Richmond and Grandview who are poised to launch an assault on the first place Ice Hawks.
