Think of it like a virtual DJ on steroids. ;-) #FNS = #GoodStuff FRIDAY NIGHT SESSIONS: Deep Cuts: (Mostly) Led Zeppelin Well that pretty much describes whats coming tonight... Lets start the evening off with Led Zeppelins first track off of their last studio album, In Through The Out Door. On a song that Robert calls A real stomper, Jimmy page rolls out a gizmo called, well, a Gizmotron to create the sliding solo effects at the beginning (Its also one of the few songs that JP used his 64 Fender Strat on), Bonzo uses a Tympano where he changes the drum pitches with a foot pedal, John Paul lays down some low rumbles to set the foundation, and Robert, well he does his thing. The electronic-synth feel of this makes me wonder what LZ wouldve sounded like for the rest of the 80s and beyond. Tonight, while Ill be rolling out the usual live/promo clips (MSG, Knebworth, etc.) Ill mainly be playing what I call picture videos... the music playing with a pic of the album cover or something else.
