Friday November 8 Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 49-50 Hebrews - TopicsExpress

Friday November 8 Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 49-50 Hebrews 5 ! Praise the Lord! One of the major things we did while in Uganda was to set up what we are calling a Mobile Bible College. Our team came in and taught the ten regional leaders in Uganda and then they will go out and teach other pastors. This is a great plan because we certainly can’t go to all the Churches but the Word can. It was wonderful to see how hungry the men and women were. They came with their Bibles and they took lots of notes on the manuals we handed out. They were putting verses like 2 Timothy 2:15 into action. “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” ! Hebrews 5:11, “We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to learn.” We are the ones who determine how fast we learn the ways of God. When you see a person who seems to be growing very quickly you can know that they are studying God’s Word, believing it and putting it into practice in their life. You can also know that they are doing these things a lot. So, would you like to grow more? Dig into God’s Word and you can. ! Hebrews 5:14 says, “But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” The more you learn the Word the more you position yourself to learn even more. Those referred to as mature in this verse are those who had trained themselves by using the Word. You see, the more we know the Word the more we will be able to know what is good and what isn’t. So, dig in to God’s Word more. Prayer: Lord, I am so thankful for the Word. Help me to do my best to know it and to live it. I don’t want to be slow to learn. Help me to take what You have already taught me and live it out. I know that I always need to be more mature and I am thankful that You are showing me how to keep growing in You. I also ask You to bless the Mobile Bible College in Uganda. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
