Friday Observation : Yanno...I am not looking for a debate....this is just my take on film/movie history. Talking to my Mom we discuss movies at times and all the STARS of yesterday.....In my Moms day the only form of entertainment that allowed America to detour the war... and economic decline...were the movies....She cited to me how she wished in the dark to look like Hedy Lamar and tap dance like Ann Miller.....She adored Cary Grant and hoped to marry Robert Taylor......and they gave out dishes with each paid admission!!!!..The movies were Americas hopes...and dreams...and escape.....they were fantasy and magic.........I wonder if todays children will look back on Seth Rogan and Jonah Hill ( since they already dont remember Merrill ) and so many others as the movie refuge that allowed them to escape and dream......Our heroes and inspiration now lie in animated features......We have MANY wonderful and talented actors currently...dont get me wrong....and yes...it was a different time......But I wonder what their legacy will be to our youth?.........I am grateful for all I have experienced ...and retain...and revere......Have a productive start to the weekend my friends..............
