Friday, Oct. 31 at 10 a.m., UCR will conduct an emergency communications test. This testing will encompass a variety of communications, including: 1. Text message A message will sent to your mobile phone (if you are registered in the emergency notification system). If you are a faculty or staff you must “opt-in” to receive the message. 2. Siren An audible alert will be sounded throughout the campus. If you hear the siren you should seek shelter, or remain securely indoors. 3. Campus Status An update will be placed on the website campusstatus.ucr.edu during the test. 4. Radio KUCR (88.3) will provide an announcement during the test 5. R’Space or R’Web An alert or urgent announcement will flash in red text in the portal 6. Scotmail An email will be distributed to all UCR email accounts 7. Voicemail A voicemail will be sent to all campus phones. 8. (888) UCR-WARN A recording can be accessed by dialing the phone number. A survey will be available for you to provide your comments, questions, or concerns about the test. For more information, please contact [email protected].
