Friday, October 3: Dane and I took a field trip today. We picked up our friends, the Flynt family, and headed to Cabela’s – yes – Cabelas is a field trip. Very educational – Dane went with a list of things he needed to get and had to remember them and find them. He had to pick the items out. He had so much fun with his friends – just being a boy. We went to Costco and he walked the whole thing, giving his opinion on food choices, and he and his friend went to get a smoothie at the front of the store – all by themselves – a victory for him and me. It was such a blessing to see him with his friends laughing and having a great day. Dane helped me unload the car when we got home and then we did something completely new – Diran and I went on a date. It was the first time Dane has not been with one or both of us since the accident. Our dear friends, the Dean’s, picked Dane up and took him to the high school volleyball game and then to dinner, they played cards and Dane had a great time. Diran and I went to dinner at our local favorite steakhouse, Prime Cut. We were thankful for a moment together. So God blessed us with new victories this day and showed me that He continues to heal, restore and care for Dane. “ Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7 Continually praying for Dane’s complete healing, that the Lord would bless him with the Desires of his heart. Glory to God….Sunday’s coming……
