Friday PM: The back is better.....not great.....but it doesnt hurt to sit up....SO I AM BACK AT IT!! What a difference in weather across the state today!! Cloudy and 38 at South Bend...60 and sunshine in Evansville!! Our next weather maker is getting its act together by producing some severe weather in Texas, Louisiana into Arkansas. No severe weather in our immediate future....BUT THE RETURN OF SNOW for SATURDAY!! As the storm system moves northeast, it will encounter some colder air Indianapolis and points northward. South of Indianapolis may see .75 - 1.25 rain ALL OF US SHOULD START OFF WITH RAIN LATE TONIGHT..... North of Indianapolis and east of I-65 and south of a Lafayette to Angola-- could see the best chance for 1.5-2.5 of slushy wet snow. I think the Muncie/New Castle/Union City areas could see the bullseye of 2.5-3. The snow will come down with intensity for a few hours tomorrow say from 9AM-2PM---I DO NOT EXPECT TRAVEL ISSUES... BIG QUESTION is will the temps at the ground allow for much accumulation! I think so....but all snow will be gone by Sunday as temperatures really rebound. Big questions for next week....temperatures look close to normal....but at least 2 chances for rain....and possibly heavy rain with thunderstorms. First chance is Monday evening....and then again Wed/Thurs time period. I will watch this carefully. The European wants to really warm us up.....not quite buying into that....however, temps fall below normal for next weekend. It looks like after next weekend....we start to get closer to more long term NORMAL weather.... Could this be the last snowflakes of the winter??!? I HIGHLY DOUBT IT....I think that we will see flakes a flyin in April this year.... Hopefully though....this is the LAST ACCUMULATING SNOW. Saturday-- Rain changing to snow north and east of Indianapolis. Areas around Kokomo....Marion....Muncie....Anderson....New Castle....Richmond.....look to see the best chance of grassy accumulations. Windy too....winds gusting to 25 mph. Highs 39-42 Lows 24-28 Sunday-- THE REBOUND BEGINS!! AM Fog gives way to bright sunshine. Highs 53-57 Lows 31-34 Monday-- Warmer still....late day rain/thundershowers?? Highs 63-66 Lows 42-45 Tuesday-- Mix of sunshine and clouds Cooler but very seasonable... Highs 53-56 Lows 40-43 Wed/Thurs-- LOOKS WET - Heavy rainfall totals possible... will monitor the severe threat... Highs 57-61 Lows 46-50 Friday-- The rain gets out of here....not a bad day.... Highs 56-60 Lows 33-36
