Friday Surah Al-Kahf Reflection: Another theme which runs throughout Surah Al-Kahf is how Allah protects His slaves. Allah talks about His Wilaayat (guardianship) in this Surah and shows a variety of examples of it. The clearest example is the protection of the people of the cave from those who wanted to harm them by putting them to sleep for 300 years and having their dog guard the entrance of the cave. Another clear example of this is when Al-Khidr fixed the wall hiding the treasure that belonged to the orphans who had a righteous father. A more subtle example of this is how Allah saved a righteous couple from being tested in their faith by taking their childs life before he could grow up to become a trial for them. Yet another example is how Allah protected the people of this world from Gog and Magog by having Dhul Qarnayn imprison them where they remain until the appointed time. So understand, my fellow believers, that if we obey Allah and put our trust in Him, He will protect us and defend us, even if it is in ways that we dont understand or realize, and He will protect us from harm that we dont even realize exists. :Vaseem:
