Friday Tours RESERVATIONS REQUIRED Texas Parks & Wildlife Kerr and Mason Mountain Wildlife Management Areas Addressing Resource Concerns in the Edward’s Plateau September 6th Kerr Wildlife Management Area 1-5 PM September 13th Mason Mountain Wildlife Management Area 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM “Natural Resources: Addressing Critical Issues in the Edward’s Plateau.” Seminar will deliver natural history, behavior and research focus concerning collared peccary and feral swine. Join us for programs covering what we have learned and are investigating regarding these species. Outdoor tour of sites at the Management Areas will follow demonstrating topics covered indoors. • Natural History/Management of Collared Peccary • Collared Peccary Research in Central Texas • Feral Swine Natural History, Research, New tools and Technologies October 4th Kerr Wildlife Management Area 1-5 PM October 11th Mason Mountain Wildlife Management Area 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM “Ecosystems Approach to Wildlife Management, putting it all together.” Finding a cure rather than treating a symptom. 3rd and final seminar discussing white-tailed deer management, grazing management, prescribed burning, brush control and endangered species. The seminar will also include over 30 years of nutrition and genetics research conducted in the Donnie E. Harmel White-tailed Deer Research Facility.
