Friday~ Was worried sick about Tuppence and the out come and waiting for me appointment seemed to take for ever. When we got a call to go to Coominya for a Koala I normally would have said Ill come after the vet but I went before. Nice big boy sitting up in their pergola. Steph wrangled him down so we could check him out...Apart from being hungry he was ok. So we popped him back up with the leaf they had cut for him and suggested they call if he was still there in the morning. When we got to the Uni Jane was back she came and asked how Tuppences foot was I almost broke down telling her about the other leg. She went to see Donna and then we went in. They couldnt feel any brakes but thought it was best to x-ray just in case. That worried me because Tuppence stopped breathing the last time she was gassed down. So we waited till they could do her... Thank you Donna for the life saving cuppa and just being there to support me it meat a lot. Then they came and took my girl in and it was an agonising two hours before she came back...I was so worried that she had died under the anaesthetic! Donna came out with thumbs up! So I knew she was still alive. Thats when she said no fractures found and no dislocation. But it also means they dont know why she cant stand! Then we went to change her bandage and she kinda went flat...heart rate dropped to nothing. SCARY. We had to pinch her to make sure she as still with us. She kept doing this all afternoon and on into the evening. She didnt come out of the anaesthetic till after 11pm. She is on Metacam for the inflammation and pain and total rest NO EXERCISE. Whilst she was under Donna asked them to check her broken foot. Which has healed well but needs more bone mass (exercise will help there) I ended up with a shocking migraine...but as we pulled into the driveway we got a call for an Echidna on the Warrego :( So out we go again...but Mr Echidna was dead as a door nail :( I was meant to be helping a friend with her possum but was knackered!
