Friday brought the hottest weather of the summer so far to many part of the Arklatex and well see temperatures soar even higher this weekend. Upper 90s to near 100 look likely in many areas with a heat index, or what it feels like, between 100 and 105. Little to no rain is anticipated with only a rogue shower or storm in the southern or eastern part of the Arklatex. The heat wont be long lasting with relief arriving with a cold front by the middle of next week.
