Friday marks the start of the Holiday Season here in Woodstock - TopicsExpress

Friday marks the start of the Holiday Season here in Woodstock with our annual Light Up Woodstock event. The event begins at 6:00 pm with a selection of music by local choirs. At 6:30 pm, our annual Christmas parade gets underway, culminating in the lighting of the Town Christmas Tree by Mayor McCleary and his distinguished guest, Brady Hecker. Please be aware of an influx of both pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the area beginning around 5:30PM. Main Street will be closed for the duration of parade and Police Officers will be detouring traffic from Main St. onto Water St. at Indian Spring Rd. (Across from the Massanutten Military Academy Track) and at Moose Rd. After the parade is complete, Officers will reopen Main St., but motorists should drive with caution as there will be a large amount of pedestrians attending the tree lighting ceremony. Please come out and enjoy the festivities and kick off the Holiday Season with us!
