Friday night @ about 8:30 pm I have just spoken very briefly to one of the Theatre Nurses involved in my son John Daniel Thompsons major 12 hour operation. The operation is approx. 6 hours or halfway through the time estimated. The Theatre-nurse just said the three Surgeons and the Anesthetist are quietly satisfied so far, but in saying that, the worst part is yet to come and after a grueling 12 hour major operation there is the risk of heart failure. Johnno is a real fighter and tough as, so we shall have to wait and see. I will remain sitting on a chair just outside the Recovery Room until my son is out of danger.
