Friday night...and I feel a rant coming on. Thought Id throw out a teaser. Weve all seen the picture of a donkey...doing work...with a carrot dangling/temptingly in front of him from a string. This image, has a tremendous amount of political innuendos, and/or metaphors hidden within. I, as a conservative thinker, would say that the donkey will eventually grow tired of a pursuit it cannot accomplish, and at some point will ultimately give in and quit. Nobody likes chasing a dream that cannot be fulfilled, and most will ultimately give up the chase. Those on the other side of the political spectrum will argue the exact opposite. They still dangle the carrot...but their argument...is that they are providing food each night, shelter each night, new bit and straps(ooowww) and probably bedding. These accommodations make the donkeys life tolerable enough for even the donkey to decide, that, hey...these guys arent so bad. So...he...wakes up...and does the same routine over and over...resigned to a life of servitude, but at least...he is cared for. Extreme! No not really. Just remember the life of the master be he corporate or political, is still FAR better than the life of the donkey, and though both provide food and shelter, only one provides an opportunity to actually reach the carrot!
